Narlıdere Canyon
Located in İmamköy Neighborhood of Efeler District, Narlıdere Canyon is a place worth visiting for its mysterious caves, Byzantine Period ruins and hot springs. Narlıdere, formed by the waters that flow from Paşa Plateau and named after the pomegranate (Tur: Nar) trees inside the canyon, brings life to the area it passes through and creates a rich biodiversity areas. It is home to trees such as sycamore trees, fir trees, incense trees as well as many wild animals such as long-legged buzzard, short-toed eagle, european roller, turtle dove, and wood pigeon. According to legend, the oil that Egypt Queen Cleopatra VII used to make "love potions" and perfume came from an incense tree in Narlıdere Canyon.
