Route Details

If you head northwest from the crossroads in Sultanhisar District’s centre, and follow Nysa direction signs, you can reach Nysa on the Maeander. In the city you can visit the ruins, and the library which is the second most well-preserved library in Anatolia after the Library of Celsus in Ephesus. After you’re done touring the city, you can reach historical Kavaklı village by taking the road that leads North. In the village, you can visit many historical structures, get some rest under the shade of the century old sycamore trees, and drink cold water from Frenk Fountain. Also, you can sit down, and drink tea at the coffeehouse, where the War of Independence hero Yörük Ali Efe once drank tea. After your tour of the village is over, you can go to Malgaçemir village by taking the road that leads northeast. Here, you’ll have a chance to see many natural and historical wonders throughout the route, such as olive trees, historical fountains, historical ruins, and Yörük Ali Cave.
