Route Details

In Arapapıştı Canyon, located in Akçay Valley, in order to sightsee the historical and natural beauty of the canyon, you can go on a tour of the canyon with Aydın Metropolitan Municipality’s boats that set off from Kemer Dam pier. At local restaurants in the region, you can taste fish, such as trout and catfish that grow in Kemer Dam Lake. On the way to Bozdoğan District’s centre you can sightsee old Turkish houses and stork nests. In Bozdoğan you can eat Turkish pide (flat bread with ground meat), and if it’s the right season you can try shaved ice. From this place, you can cycle in nature until you reach Alamut village, and after visiting Yenipazar’s Direcik and Donduran villages you can arrive in Yenipazar. On the way to Yenipazar you can visit Donduran Castle which dates back to the 18th century. Later on, you can also visit Orthosia Ancient City which is a Carian city. When you are in Yenipazar, you can visit the museum of Kuva-yi Milliye (Nationalist Forces during the War of Independence) hero Yörük Ali Efe, and on the way back you can taste the famous Turkish pide (flat bread with ground meat) of Yenipazar.

In the surroundings of Lake Aşağıdip, which is located 3 km to the northeast of Yenipazar, you can observe bird species such as grey heron, coot, eurasian coot and some duck species.
