Route Details

In Söke District’s Karakaya village you can visit Latmos Visitor Centre, which was opened by Aydın Metropolitan Municipality, to gather detailed information about the region. You can take a tour of Latmos in virtual environment with 3D VR goggles. If you travel about 10 km westward from Karakaya village, you’ll reach Lake Azap. From the bird watching platform built by Aydın Metropolitan Municipality, you can observe many different species of birds that are in and around the lake, and take photos. If you travel 15 km in southward direction, you’ll reach Serçin village. Serçin is a part of Aydın Metropolitan Municipality’s ecotourism Project, and there is a visitor centre here too. You can make a bike tour between Serçin and Kışla, and see the ancient era ruins on the way as well as many species of birds that come to Lake Bafa. Moreover, you can taste and buy fish such as eel that migrate from the Sargasso Sea, as well as sea bass and gray mullet at the restaurants situated around the lake.
