It’s one of Germencik’s massacred villages. The Greek, who were fed up with the raids that they suffered, took it out on the closest villages. For this reason, the Greek soldiers who came to Habibler killed four elders of the village by cutting their throats in front of the village mosque. They also killed other villagers that they could catch and burned down the mosque. The names of these martyrs are written on a pedestal on the corner of the village mosque’s yard.
