Situated about 10 km. away from Davutlar Neighborhood of Kuşadası District, Kurşunlu Monastery is estimated to be an 11th century Byzantine structure. In the monastery there are places such as monastic cells, a chapel, a graveyard, monastery walls, a vault, and fortified rooms. The murals on the ceiling of the chapel depicts symbolic and geometric motives of the iconoclastic period and the religious events and people of the 9th century after the iconoclastic period.
